Tomorrow is Halloween and I just returned from a Royal Caribbean Cruise. It was incredible and one of the characters on the ship is an awesome GIANT Panda. I am sure it represents Kung Fu Panda and was so huge. I have added several Panda costumes to the shop and my Chahinkapa facebook page. If you haven’t purchased your Halloween costume, you could get it in time with Amazon prime in certain cities. It isn’t available yet in Orlando but I am really looking forward to having same day delivery. I thought this little panda was an adorable toy.
Other activities on the cruise included many other characters that I will talk about in future posts. The ship itself was incredible with an elevator bar, an ice rink, large swimming pool with diving towers, shows, food and even central park. A full-sized carousel was on the boardwalk. I am gathering together photos and videos and will post them so you can see how awesome this ship is. Would I recommend it for a cruise, absolutely. Climbing walls, zip lines and a flow pool for surfing. Also miniature golf, basketball, ping-pong, soccer…and fabulous food.

Halloween seems a long way off but not at Disney World. Preparation is going on the Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party and it opens on September 15. It lasts through November 1 and is great fun. If you have never been there, take the opportunity to visit. You will have the opportunity to see glowing pumpkins, grinning ghosts and all of the characters is the most incredible costumes. The minute you want into the park you will smell the aroma of those wonderful pumpkin muffins which are made in the Main Street Bakery.
And for Candy, it is a must stop at the Candy Palace on Main Street. They have these great Mickey apples, Dirt ‘n’ Worms apples and cookies topped with Gummi Worms. I love the pumpkin seed brittle and think I will try to make it at home this year. I always save the pumpkin seeds from the pumpkins but this is certainly a new use for them.
As it gets closer to the event I will share other activities that are in preparation. In the meantime, start looking for your costumes.
Gee, the week is moving rather slowly. I think it is because Thanksgiving is just about upon us. Whatever happened to that season between Halloween and Thanksgiving. I remember we didn’t see a Christmas item until the day after Thanksgiving and that is also when we brought home or cut down the tree. Now we hardly see Halloween off the shelf before Santa and Mrs. Santa are pushing the ghosts and witches out the door. Too much pressure..time to relax…
Let’s take some time this year and enjoy the season. Remember your manners when shopping. That isn’t always easy and the hip checks are frequent.
If you have never been to Universal Studios for Halloween you have missed an incredible event. If you are interested in one more suited to little ones, Disney’s Very Scarey Halloween offers fun activities and lots of characters dressed in Halloween attire. If you live close…just a quick run to the park for an evening of fun sure beats running around the neighborhood with pillowcases:-)
